About Naomi
Naomi is a trauma-informed counsellor and yoga teacher based on the Gold Coast, offering a gentle, holistic approach to healing and self-discovery. With a background in somatic therapy, Ashtanga yoga, meditation, mindfulness and breathwork, she supports clients in reconnecting with themselves — emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
After starting her career as a journalist in Nepal, Naomi felt drawn toward the spiritual depth of the culture rather than the newsroom. Years later, as a mother of two, she found her way back to herself through yoga — discovering the power of presence, compassion, and embodied awareness.
Since completing her yoga training in 2013, Naomi has worked with survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse in Australia and Cambodia, using trauma-sensitive yoga as a tool for healing. Her approach is simple and breath-led: “If you can breathe, you can practice.”
As a registered holistic counsellor, and someone who has navigated the challenges of motherhood and chronic illness, Naomi now weaves together deep understanding from her own healing journey and lived experiences, as well as years of practice with somatic and cognitive, evidence-based therapeutic tools — supporting people navigating anxiety, trauma, motherhood, identity, nervous system dysregulation and overwhelm.
When she’s not on the mat or in session, she’s walking in nature — one step at a time, returning to herself.
